eTrailGuide Application

SCCP screen shot
eTrailGuide opens with the base map under an overview map. Using these two windows, you can navigate the hiking/riding area, view pictures of sites you may want to visit, and select trails to get the distance traveled and elevation profile. There is also a tool which will give you suggestions for routes to take.

The icons on the map provide information of the site they are over. Right and left clicking the icons will revel pictures and detail information of that site.

The some icons represent pictures which can be viewed to give you and idea of the surroundings or other points of interest.

Right clicking on the arrow sign icons, provides trailhead information like important phone numbers, facilities, and directions.

Can’t deciede on a hiking trail? The Guide tool has recommended routes.

When you are ready for your trip, both the trail’s profile and area map can be printed out for reference and POIs and routes can be downloaded to your GPS.

Not only can you use eTrailGuide to find trails to hike, but it can be used to find new dive sites.  Many of the known dive sites are maked (along with pictures) but you can use this tool to look at the botton topography, find an interesting feature, and get its coordinates or distance and bearing so that you can visit it later.
